Celebrating the unique, brutal elegance of the existing industrial structure, we delivered community-driven public spaces of uncomplicated, relaxed luxury.

Urban Living Architecture

Designing Spaces That Feel Like Home

At Slade Architecture, we believe that multi-family design should create a true sense of home, offering spaces that welcome residents from the moment they walk through the door. Our approach blends functionality, thoughtful design, and a touch of playfulness to craft environments that make residents excited to return after a long day. From amenities to lounge spaces, each element is designed to foster community and create a warm, inviting atmosphere.

The Cove Apartments, Long Island City
At The Cove in Long Island City, our design emphasizes the creation of open, inviting spaces that feel like an extension of home. We transformed the central courtyard into a lush garden landscape, bringing in abundant natural light and offering residents a serene gathering space. Inside, the public areas—including the lounge, lobby, gym, and children’s room—are crafted to balance communal energy with moments of quiet retreat.

Eagle Warehouse, Long Island City
For the Eagle Warehouse project, we embraced the building's historic industrial roots while expanding the space to include a lush garden that seamlessly merges with the warehouse’s character. This green oasis enhances the original structure, softening the industrial feel with layers of greenery and creating a unique outdoor retreat for residents. The design introduces modern amenities like a stylish lounge and dynamic co-working spaces, fostering a sense of community and connection.
