James and Hayes were members of the panel for “The Materials Choices We Make” at the Earth Equity Design for Freedom Landscape Forum in Grace Farms, CT.
SLADE SPEAKING AT ICFF & WANTED DESIGN
Hayes was part of a panel discussion on ethical sourcing at ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair) and Wanted Design. She spoke about the Design for Freedom initiative, the DFF Toolkit and the ongoing pilot project work at Slade Architecture.
AIA NY ADVOCACY DAY
Hayes Slade, principal of Slade Architecture and 2019 AIA NY President, spent the day wtih a group of NYC architects advocating for policy and regulations at New York City Hall.
SPEAKING ENGAGEMENT: URBAN THINKERS CAMPUS
Principal Hayes Slade spoke at a symposium in November focused on how the Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations could be accelerated. A cross disciplinary group of design professionals discussed how our work in the urban built environment could have more impact.
